Rates

Initial Set Up

$50 set up fee
~Includes:  3 hours of service. A typical breakdown would be a 1 hour consultation (what you want to get out of the site, what information you want published) and 2 hours of set up (creating your account, choosing and/or registering your domain name, choosing your hosting package, getting a rough site online, and a optional brief tutorial on the site's functions). Any additional time spent on initial set up will be billed on an hourly basis.

Service Options

$20/hour service
~Includes:  Consultation time, website design/editing/updating, troubleshooting.

OR

$50/month service
~Includes:  up to 4 hours of consultation, website maintenance/updates, and a minimum of 1 functionality check (see if the site is online, links are functioning, etc.)  NOTE:  functionality check does not cover fixing any issues or updating the site, that would be counted as part of your allotted 4 hours of service time.
~This is a good option for maintaining your site after initial set up if you have changes or updates at least once a month.


**These 2 options can be combined.  For example:  You opt to use the $50/month service option to maintain your site. You have a conference coming up and want to add that info to your site and that takes 6 hours to complete. You used up your 4 allotted hours for the month and used an additional 2 hours so you would be billed $40 for the additional time.


If, after initial set up, you choose to run the site on your own, I would be more than happy to show you how the editing features work and go over all the options available in your package. Tutorials will be billed on an hourly basis. The hourly service option is still available to you at anytime (regardless of whether or not you choose to run the site on your own) as long as you remain a www.1and1.com customer.

Web Hosting and Domain Name Fees

I use www.1and1.com as the hosting service. They provide a simple, all inclusive service to register your domain name and host your site (if you already have a registered domain name it can be transferred to www.1and1.com so you don't have to give up the name or wait for registration to expire and renew with www.1and1.com). They have several package options starting with a very basic service (which is ideal for simply creating your online presence) and working up to a very advanced package. Click here to see a comparison chart for all their packages.  They also have additional features that can be added to any package for a more customized service. NOTE:  www.1and1.com fees are not included in your set up fee. Domain registration and hosting fees (plus any applicable fees and taxes) are additional separate fees and are payable directly to www.1and1.com.
